You may remember me, David Gilchrist....I presented a number of Acupuncture Wet Workshops for Veterinarians in the 80s and 90s in Christchurch, Auckland twice, Whangarei, Nelson and Napier. That is in addition to presentations in the UK and Belgium, and about 55 Weekend Workshops at various venues throughout Australia.
18 months ago I presented a 2-day Weekend Workshop in beautiful Maleny in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, 90 minutes from Brisbane, 60 minutes from Noosa, 40 minutes from Mooloolaba or 30 minutes from Caloundra.
I am now offering another course in Maleny on 10th & 11th March 2012
Most courses have consisted of up to 30 students. This workshop is limited to 10 students, which allows for plenty of one-to-one interaction with your tutor.
This will suit Veterinarians who want to incorporate acupuncture into their existing practice and have a deeper understanding of what they are doing.
WHAT YOU WILL GET.......
You will get plenty of one-to-one interaction with your tutor, because this workshop is limited to 10 students.
You will learn to make accurate acupuncture diagnoses of illness and injuries.
You will learn how to develop specific treatment formulae for specific conditions.
You will learn to tailor your treatments to individual cases rather than using cook-book formulae.
You will learn how to treat most of the common conditions of sick and injured animals.
You will learn how to treat hormonal and behavioural disorders.
You will learn how to maximise athletic performance without misuse of drugs.
You will take part in a series of carefully integrated lectures and practical sessions, building from a base that presumes no previous knowledge on your part.
You will be exposed to "structured group interaction" to discover and then solve problems .
Confidence in finding acupuncture points on the dog.
By the end of the two days you will have the ability to find all of the most useful acupuncture points, rapidly and accurately, PLUS you will have the techniques for finding any other point should you need to.
Needling Techniques.
Knowing which technique is appropriate to a particular point and being able to practise these techniques under supervision will impart the competence and confidence necessary to transform a student into a practitioner.
Other Techniques.
Moxibustion and electro-acupuncture will be demonstrated.
Take-Away Notes.
Will be provided in a work-book format.
Morning and Afternoon Tea.
Tea and coffee will be available throughout the 2 days.
Gourmet Lunch.
A quality lunch, included in the fee will be provided at a nearby restaurant on both days.

on most of our product lines will be offered at the course.
Mentoring
is offered FREE of CHARGE for all students for 3 months after you go home. This is the crucial time when you may need backup or "after-sales-service" as you go about establishing yourself as a competent practitioner in your region. The details of this service will be discussed during the course.
Accompanying Person I have made allowance for an accompanying person to attend at a $100 discount. This will enable 2 persons to attend from the one practice for a reduced investment.
It also enables a spouse to attend with a practitioner. This was quite a popular option in the past. It provides an opportunity for couples to share an interest. Sometimes a veterinarian would bring a nurse.
So have a think about that now and talk to your staff/associates.

WHEN DO I RECOUP MY INVESTMENT?
Depending on your charges you could recoup your investment from the first 15-20 treatments.
Once you have recouped your investment in the know-how, your ongoing costs of doing business could be as low as 1% of your treatment fee. (=99% Gross Profit)
